Works awesomely for my HTPC 5 by .. R. Edmiston (Kirkland, WA)
I bought this for my home theater PC in my living room to go with the keyboard that uses the same Unity receiver. I stuck the receiver into one free frontside USB port on the box and can run both the keyboard and mouse off the same nearly invisible dongle. Both the mouse and the keyboard work from 30 feet away as tested. It even worked from another room. After trying two Microsoft mice which wouldn't work from more than four feet from the dongle, having a mouse which works on anything from carpet to a velvet couch up to 30 feet away with zero lag or glitches, was gratifying. I did have to download a free utility to get the PC to pair the same keyboard dongle with the mouse, but it was stupidly easy to do. I'm probably going to buy several more of these, one to keep in my netbook, the other for my PS3. Rock on Logitech for making a mouse and keyboard which are superb for home theater PC use.

Great mouse 5 by .. James E. Laval ()
Best laptop mouse I have ever owned. Easy to install and it works on any surface that I have used it.
Small form factor USB receiver is fantastic!!!

Seems like a very good wireless mouse. 5 by .. Ted (CT, USA.)
I bought 2 of these mice. They are quick and easy to set up and the tiny unifying receiver is an excellent feature. The cursor movement is precise and the wireless range is more than adequate. They are pretty sturdy, but since I only made these purchases relatively recently, I can't comment on the long-term durability or battery life.

LOVING IT !! ;o) 5 by .. J. Armstrong (Indianapolis, IN)
Bought this mouse to go with my new laptop and the unifying device that also drives my Logitech keyboard... both the keyboard and the mouse plugged in and played with no problems at all. Had to download some software that took about 30 seconds to install. Definitely eliminates the frustration that can arise from the use of the built-in keyboards and mice that come with laptops. This mouse is also sharp-looking (I've had several comments on how COOL it looks) and is very responsive. I highly recommend it.

Nice mouse, nice size, nice price, nice performance. 5 by .. James Evans (Eastern Pennsylvania)
I recently bought a new laptop (HP G71-340US) and decided to get a logitech cordless mouse, since I can't stand pointing devices on laptops. (Well, I should clarify that I like trackpoint devices, but they are almost impossible to get on a non-business class systems. Grrrrr.)

Having previously had a logitech V220 with my work laptop, which I liked it a lot, I bought a V220 for my personal machine. Well, I didn't like it this time. First, my new laptop annoyingly has all of the USB ports on the side. (Actually, there are no ports at all on the back and I don't like it.) So, the long V220 receiver module hung way out on the already huge laptop. Not acceptable. Plus, the V220 actually felt a bit small in my hand, and the scroll wheel was annoyingly loud and stiff (which my first V220 didn't suffer from).

I returned the V220 to the local vendor where I purchased it from, and hit the web searching for a new solution. I wanted to stay with logitech, so I selected the M505. Indeed, it's a nice mouse. Slightly larger than the V220, it fits nicely in my hand, but isn't too big to carry in the laptop bag. The laser tracking is nice and smooth and most importantly, the receiver module in VERY small and unobtrusive when plugged into the side of my laptop.

I do wish that the M505 had forward/back buttons, but I'm still quite happy with it. Oh, it works fine under Win7 and Ubuntu 9.10 and the color even matches my laptop.
