This card is great. I had an old linksys wireless card in an old compaq laptop that I was using with Ubuntu 8.04. The problem with the card was that it was so old it wouldn't support the newer WPA encryption. Did a little research and decided to go with the d-link rangebooster. Had to do some configuring to get it to work but after that, it works perfectly. Very happy with the speed and also that linux is able to see this card.
