Great wireless card

I purchased this card as a last resort attempt to cure my wireless connection. We have a 2 family house with access points on the 1st and 2nd floor, it is not an overly large house but try as I might I could not get a consistent signal in parts of the house with the built in LAN card on my Gateway laptop. I moved the routers, tried different antennas, downloaded updated drivers, even bought a new router for downstairs, but would only get 1 or 2 bars in the living room, with multiple drops. As a last resort I thought, why not disable the on board wireless and try a wireless card?
My laptop does not have a PCMCIA card slot, so I was limited to wireless express. This was the least expensive card I could find.
All I can say is, it works great. No drops, strong signal even outside. For me this was a great purchase. On my Vista laptop I did not have to install any software it used the Windows software and was a turnkey fix.

I had purchased the N1 Vision router and decided to buy this to replace the HP factory card in my laptop. The speed difference for me was dramatic over the factory card. I did have some issues with the install disc as my computer would lockup when I tried to run it. I went online to belkin and downloaded the latest and had no problems. It does take some time to go through the install so be patient. I am very pleased with how it is working.

It dose more and it goes with the name Belkin.
I have the Belkin N1 wireless router and it also works flawlessly with it.
Thru put speed is 300 all the time.
Fast is and understatement.
If you want something faster you need to be on gigabit.
Very easy installation, all most like plug and play.
P.S.
Read the installation directions 1st it will save you sometime later.
If you are using Norton 360 you will need to make some changes to the settings.
Good product and yes I would buy it again...

A heads-up: Belkin has released several versions of this same model over the past few years. Even the oldest model IS compatible with 64-bit XP as well as 32 and 64-bit Vista--despite what the box and instructions tell you--but you have to go to Belkin's site to download the proper driver for your OS. So if you have anything other than Windows 2000 (assuming you don't have that anymore) or 32-bit XP, don't use the installation disk (it will only cause you headaches) and instead go to Belkin's site. The site offers drivers for each version, so make sure you choose the right one!
Aside from the brief trouble I had figuring out this stuff about installation, I've loved the product so far. It is a significant upgrade from the Intel wireless card that came installed in my new laptop: much greater range and speed. And now I've found a reason to use that ExpressCard slot....
